Weighted blankets are a fantastic item for children (and adults, too) with autism, Asperger's Syndrome, sensory integration disorder, ADHD, and PDD. Weighted items provide deep pressure that children with these disorders require to help them feel "grounded", help them pay better attention and make them feel secure. Many adults with Restless Legs Syndrome also report using a weighted blanket at night helps relieve their symptoms. (I am not a Doctor nor a Therapist, so be sure to use weighted items under the suggestion & supervision of your practicioner).

 

Our products are made with the outer print fabrics, along with a hidden layer of fabric, to increase longevity of your purchase. Fabrics are 100% cotton and prewashed before construction to prevent shrinking of completed product. We use poly pellets to fill our weighted items. Poly pellets are an excellent choice, as they do not retain moisture causing smell or mildew/mold. They won't break down over time. Weight is evenly distributed using the channel seaming quilt method.

 

All of our weighted items are machine washable and can be tumble dried on low or air dried.
